Run to the Beat have offered eight places for RPA members to raise money for the RPA Benevolent Fund.
The half marathon which is 13 miles, will start and finish at the 02 arena in Greenwich on 26th September, with live and recorded music playing around the course.
To kick-off the event, Run to the Beat had a launch at Sound Nightclub on Friday 26th September. England international and current Leeds Carnegie scrum-half, Andy Gomarsall attended, along with British athletics trio Jenny Meadows, Helen Clitheroe, and Perri Shakes-Drayton and Lancashire County Cricket's Stephen Moore.
Andy Gomarsall said, "Music has played some memorable moments in my career, most noticeably singing with the boys on the coach at the World Cup in 2007. To link music in with running is an ingenious idea and great way to motivate kids and less sporty adults into fitness. Run to the Beat is a perfect example of how this can be brought together".
