The ride from Lands End to London will follow scenic routes through the West Country, and cyclists will enjoy traditional rugby hospitality for the overnight stops at rugby club based, tented villages in Tavistock, Yeovil & Winchester, including hot food and drinks. The finish will be a grand reception at Twickenham Stadium to coincide with the London 'Double Header' involving Harlequins, London Irish, Saracens & London Wasps. 200 cyclists will ride the 4 day event with up to 100 'stage' riders participating on a daily basis. Rugby Club team entries and individuals are encouraged to participate and support the highly deserving charities.

Event Ambassador, British & Irish Lions, England and Saracens legend Richard Hill MBE will be supporting the event throughout. Following extensive knee surgery, Richard said:
"I am delighted to be involved with this tremendous initiative to raise funds for 'Help for Heroes', the RFU Injured Players Foundation and the RPA Benevolent Fund. Like rugby union, the Great British Bike Ride is about challenge, competition and enjoyment."
We are proud to announce that the RPA Benevolent Fund, along with RFU Injured Players Foundation and Help for Heroes, will be the benefitting charities of this event.
All charity funds received by the LGBBR will be split equall between the 3 nominated charities. Rides can raise more than the target set by the organisers and these funds can be donated to the individual charities of choice.
There are a number of ways to support the event. To enter, Cyclists have a choice of completing the whole four day ride, or just one of the four stages. The 4 day inclusive entry Fee is £399, with a minimum sponsorshop of £300. Daily stage rides cost £39 with sponsorship at £150. For more information, visit www.greatbritishbikeride.com
