Twickenham plays host to England's oldest and most famous Charity 7s event on Saturday 14th August. The Middlesex Sevens is an exciting knock-out tournament of 16 top rugby teams including England, Scotland and Wales, Guinness Premiership clubs and invitation sides. The event is expected to be even bigger and better than last year when a star studded London Irish side won the competition for the first time in the clubs history.
Josh Lewsey, former England international and previous winner of the Middlesex 7s with Wasps said: "The Middlesex Sevens should be a date in every rugby fans diary. It's a great family day out with a great tradition."
Over the years a number of the sports legends have taken part, including Clive Woodward, Will Carling, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Robinson. Now in its 84th year, the event has raised over £10m for charity and this year sees the launch of the Kids Go Free initiative.
