Matt's Blog Day 11: Recovery

After a late night, it's been a quiet day today. Some lads went off to play golf, while the rest of us lazed around the HPC, contemplating making use of some of the facilities. All that contemplation was hard work, requiring a bit more sleep to get over it.

Stop the press - I actually ventured up to the gym this afternoon and sat on a bike for 30 minutes. Tomorrow, I might even go back and pedal!

You can't help but be constantly reminded of the security concerns in South Africa. In the evening, we set off to walk half a mile into town only to be called back by the security guard, saying that, even as a large group, we weren't safe on foot after dark.

And then there was the sign on the outside swimming pool:

No bottles

No alcohol

No barbeques

No bicycles

No FIREARMS!

Makes a change to the 'No petting' signs at our swimming pools!
