Matt Allen

Player Development Manager - Midlands

Matt joined the RPA (formerly PRA) in March 2008, and has responsibility as the Player Development Manager (PDM) for members playing at Saracens, Northampton and Worcester.

Matt brings a wealth of first class rugby experience to his role as a PDM. He has played club rugby for Northampton Saints, Cardiff and Bedford Blues. He has also represented the Barbarians, England 'A' and toured Australia and Argentina with England. Matt made more than 180 appearances for Northampton, and was an integral part of the victorious European Cup winning team of 2000.

He spent three years in Cardiff before joining Bedford, where he was captain for four years, making over 100 appearances. Whilst at Cardiff, he studied part time for a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Development and has since worked in various roles within sport.
